Modern HR Partners was founded in 2023. As I built my network and got to know small business owners, I saw a common struggle amongst all of them. As small companies are trying to scale and grow, business owners feel out of their realm with the people-aspect. They lack confidence in making the right people-related decisions, like hiring and firing, but also have no idea where to start with employee engagement, retention, and organization design.

About Modern HR Partners
I accidentally started an HR career. I'm serious! After majoring in Hospitality Management at Iowa State, I went to intern at both Hyatt and Disney. There, I fell in love with HR and the people-component of hospitality.
So, I opened myself up to the HR world. I got my start in small companies where I lead HR for 100+ people. I'm a bit scrappy when I need to be, and taught myself everything I need to know. From there, I went into bigger roles, becoming the HR manager for a hospital in Seattle (where I was promoted after just 1 week on the job), got my MBA in just 5 months, and eventually found my way to doing HR for a Fortune 100 Aerospace company.
I do HR differently. I add value as a strategic business partner to entrepreneurs. That's where my passion lies. After meeting so many small business owners that are growing, but struggling to understand the people implications of the job, I started Modern HR Partners. At MHRP, I partner with business leaders to create and execute your people strategies, and help solve your people problems along the way.
